“The Future People Leaders programme will empower talented people professionals from under-represented groups to progress into leadership. In turn, this will help to create more inclusive workplaces and strengthen and diversify the profession, now and in the future.”

Leah De Silva, Senior Programme Manager, CIPD Trust

Empowering new leaders

Following the success of the Aspiring HRDs programme, the CIPD Trust has launched the Future People Leaders programme, aimed at people professionals who are just starting out as leaders and want to progress further in leadership. This free programme is specifically for those who face barriers to their progression – and this may look different for each applicant.

How it works

We are taking a cohort of 12 people, who will each be matched with a senior-level mentor. Over six months, the group will work together on six modules which all support leadership development in the people profession. Each person will also have a minimum of one monthly session with their mentor, from January – June 2024.

How to apply

Applications are open now and close on 30 October 2023. To apply, you’ll need to send us your CV along with a completed application form and equal opportunities form.
